Telemedicine User Guide
Plain-language guides to using the Telemedicine platform — what each type of user can do and how to do it.
What this platform is
A telemedicine system that lets patients find doctors, book appointments, have live video consultations, and view their lab/radiology results and visit history — all within one clinic ("organization"). Behind the scenes, clinic staff manage doctors, appointments, lab and imaging orders, and platform administrators manage multiple clinics and their staff roles.
How to sign in
- Web app: open the site and sign in with your email and password. New patients can self-register from the sign-in page — every other role (doctor, lab/radiology staff, clinic admin, platform admin) is created for you by an administrator; there's no self-service signup for those.
- Mobile app (iOS/Android): patients only, for now. Same email/password account works on both web and mobile — see the mobile app guide.
- Two-factor sign-in (TOTP authenticator app) can be turned on from your profile; once enabled you'll be asked for a 6-digit code after your password on every sign-in.
Who's who
| Role | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Patient | Finds doctors, books and attends appointments, views health records and messages doctors | Web + mobile — see Patient guide |
| Doctor | Manages their schedule, runs consultations, writes clinical notes and prescriptions, orders labs/imaging | Web only — see Doctor guide |
| Lab staff | Uploads and verifies laboratory results | Web only — see Staff guide |
| Radiology staff | Uploads imaging studies (DICOM) and verifies radiology reports | Web only — see Staff guide |
| Clinic admin | Runs one clinic: manages its doctors, appointments, staff, branches, and reports | Web only — see Admin guide |
| Platform admin | Runs the whole platform: manages every clinic, cross-clinic staff, and the role/permission catalog itself | Web only — see Admin guide |
| Receptionist | Front-desk registration, check-in queue, billing | Role exists but has no dedicated screens yet — see Staff guide |
A person can hold more than one role — for example, a clinic admin who is also a doctor sees both sets of navigation.
